Maddur Town is located on the way to Mandya from Ramnagara.
Sri Ugra Narasimha and Sri Varadaraja temples here are believed to be built during Hoysala period.
The 16 feet tall statue of lord Varadaraja Perumal in the same compound is said to be a replica of the one at Kanchi.
Sri Pattabhirama Swamy temple near by also seems to be few centuries old.
One can also visit Sri Hole Anjaneya Swamy temple on the banks of Shimsha River, not too far from Maddur.
