Savanadurga - Trekking and Boating

Savanadurga Fort was constructed by Kempegowda III.
There are two monoliths here Karigudda(Black hill) and Belligudda(White Hill).
Trek can be rated as moderate difficulty.
Please check with forest department before starting as it may not be permitted now.

Neelapatna town constructed by Kempegowda is now known as Nelapatna - the official name for the village at the foothills of Savanadurga.

Centuries old temples of Sri Savandi Veerabhadraswamy Temple and Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy are at the foothills of Savanadurga.

Forest Department maintains a park near Sri Verrbhadraswamy temple. There is a Boating point too.
